Inspiration

An artists that inspires goes by “Ollies Doodles” online. Ollie is a graphic designer with an expressive and cartoony style, which is always fun to look at. I like how he blends simple shapes and bold colors to create amazing looking characters, with a style you don’t see anywhere else.

On top of that, he also shares some helpful tutorial videos that break down his design process in a way that’s easy to follow, especially for beginners. Seeing his work inspires me to look for my own style and make it as memorable as his, but also to have fun with what I’m doing.

Max Kolo, also known as “cool_lookin_bug” online, is another one of my favorite designers. His style is fun, bold, and very noticeable. He uses his colors and layouts in a way that seems very professional, but still fun at the same time.

I first came across his work when one of his videos became very popular. In his video he takes things most people wouldn’t even notice (like lost pet signs or community flyers) and redesigns them to be eye-catching and actually helpful to the people posting them. This seemed like something really fun to do, while being helpful at the same time, which inspires me.
